Three DCOs transferred

LAHORE/GUJRAT: The Punjab government on Wednesday transferred and posted some officials, including three district coordination officers.

Chakwal DCO Yawar Husain was made an officer on special duty. He was replaced by Gujrat DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi.

Chief Minister’s Secretariat Deputy Secretary Liaquat Ali Chattha was posted as Gujrat DCO.

Schools Deputy Secretary Muhammad Shakir Khan was made an OSD.

Higher Education Deputy Secretary Muhammad Suhail Khwaja was transferred and posted as deputy secretary prosecution in place of Zubair Wahid.

Mr Wahid was posted as Higher Education deputy secretary.

Sources told Dawn a Lahore-based business tycoon belonging to Gujrat had played a role in getting Liaquat Chattha posted as the Gujrat DCO.

Earlier, Mr Chattha had been the deputy secretary of the Chief Minister Secretariat but he was performing the duty of PSO to Hamza Shahbaz who heads the public affairs committee of the Punjab government.
