LAHORE, June 30: Former world champions, Pakistan will play Australia in the opening match of the 25th Men’s Champions Trophy hockey tournament on Aug 16 at Amsterdam.

The Netherlands host the premier six-nation league event which ends on Aug 24 and features, Australia, Argentina, Germany, India and Pakistan.

Pakistan Hockey Federation on Monday made available the draws of the event to APP which reveals no rest day in between the tournament.

Following is the programme of matches.

Aug 16: Pakistan v Australia; Netherlands v India. Aug 17: Argentina v Pakistan; Australia v Netherlands; India v Germany. Aug 18: Germany v Argentina. Aug 19: India v Australia; Netherlands v Pakistan. Aug 20: Australia v Germany; Argentina v India. Aug 21: Pakistan v Germany; Netherlands v Argentina. Aug 22: India v Pakistan. Aug 23: Argentina v Australia; Germany v Netherlands. Aug 24: 5th v 6th, 3rd v 4th, 1st v 2nd (final).
