Two killed in feud

SHIKARPUR, June 30: Two persons were shot dead and another was injured in the ongoing dispute between Qambrani and Essani tribesmen on Monday.

Fareed Ahmad, Mohammad Ali, Ali Gul Lohar, Dhani Bux Lohar and Ghazi, all belonging to the Shaikh community, were going on motorcycles to attend a party when six unidentified Qambrani tribesmen, who were hiding in bushes, opened fire on them near the Essani village.

Fareed Ahmad and Mohammad Ali were killed and Ali Gul was injured in the firing.

The incident is said to be the result of the ongoing dispute between the Qambranis and the Essanis but the Shaikh community men were fired upon due to misunderstanding.

ENCOUNTER: An encounter took place between a heavy contingent of the police and outlaws after the police raided a hideout of the outlaws near the Gaheja village here on Monday, said the area police.

However, the outlaws, belonging to the Sachoo Jeho gang, escaped.
