KARACHI, June 29: The residents of Lyari Town’s affected localities on Sunday staged demonstration to voice their concern over persisting water shortage.
A large number of youth, children and NGO activists, representing the Shah Beg Lane Welfare Alliance and the Ali Mohammad Mohalla Youth Society, marched through the main roads of the town to protest against water shortage problem.
Later, they assembled in front of the Karachi Press Club, where they raised slogans against the officials of water and sanitation department and also accused the city Nazim of not honouring his commitment regarding the solution of water problem in the town.
