KRA wind up with victory

KARACHI, June 28: Karachi Regional Academy (KRA) boys finished their six-week training programme with a 93-run win against Cricket Coaching Centre (CCC) in a practice game at National Stadium on Saturday despite a defiant 71 by Pakistan discard Faisal Iqbal.

Ahmed Mustufa’s CCC chasing 249 for victory were bowled out for 155 in 43.1 over. Faisal Iqbal blasted nine boundaries and two 6s in his 71 and added 57 for third wicket with younger brother Fahad Iqbal (19).

Left-arm spinner Azam Hussain caused the main damage in CCC batting with four for 43 in 10 overs while Asif Hameed took two for eight in five overs.

Earlier, KRA scored 248 for nine in their 50 overs. Mohammad Ali Zafar top-scored with 47 off 61 balls with three boundaries. Asad Shafiq cracked seven fours in his 41 and Naveed Khan hit 39 off 44 balls with three boundaries.
