Bakhtiar laid to rest in Quetta

QUETTA, June 28: Former attorney-general Yahya Bakhtiar, who expired due to cardiac arrest on Friday, was laid to rest here in Kasi graveyard on Saturday.

Former governors Mohammad Rahim Durani and Amirul Mulk Mengal, Federal Sharait Court Chief Justice Chaudhry Ejaz Yousuf, Balochistan University Vice-Chancellor M.A. Rashid, Balochistan Bar Association President Javed Mohsin, lawyers, politicians and others attended the funeral.

Bar members and representatives of political groups in their statements condoled the veteran politician’s death and lauded his contribution to the democratic movement.
