Maulana Aziz said the Taliban were most interested in implementing Sharia.— File photo

ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan has as many as 500 female suicide bombers ready to act, Maulana Abdul Aziz, one of three negotiators representing the TTP, said in an interview with Bloomberg News. The TTP sees no urgency to reach an agreement with the government, the Maulana said at his Islamabad seminary.

“You should know that at the moment they have at least 400 to 500 female suicide bombers in Waziristan and other tribal areas,” said Maulana Aziz, referring to the TTP.

“The government should realise the situation and their demands.”

Maulana Aziz said the Taliban were most interested in implementing Sharia. The US military presence in Afghanistan is “a very small factor” in the fight, he added, disputing statements by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan and others.

“They (Taliban) are fighting for the implementation of Sharia,” Aziz said at the seminary where some 1,300 female students are studying. “It’s the law of nature that when people don’t get their rights, they pick up arms.”

The number of female suicide bombers mentioned by Maulana Abdul Aziz “is a very exaggerated figure”, said Muhammad Amir Rana, director of the Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies.

“The Taliban are way ahead in the propaganda war, and they have given a tough time to the state,” he said. “Female suicide bombers have been used, but not too many.”

Maulana Aziz, who was jailed for two years after the raid on Lal Masjid, last week temporarily withdrew himself from the talks with TTP because the government insisted the negotiations be held under the Constitution. He will remain on the TTP’s committee, he added.

“The Taliban are in no hurry,” the Maulana said, when asked whether the group wanted a deal soon to avoid a military strike. “They say they are not worried about it. They have been in a state of war for the past 10 years.”

“If the military has weapons and air power, they (Taliban) have suicide bombers,” Maulana Aziz said of the Taliban. “You cannot match them. Suicide bombers even destroyed the power of America in Afghanistan.”

It seems like the Maulana is representing TTP and promoting their agenda.

Kanwaljeet Singh Feb 12, 2014 08:30am

This is un-believable. they are boasting it as if they are showcasing the national armed forces strength. Only Allah can save Pakistan.

TrueTruth Feb 12, 2014 08:30am

So now he is threatening Pakistan ... I think the Pakistan Protection Ordinance is applicable in case of Khateeb Abdul Aziz ... For all practical purposes he is a TTP member ...

Muhammad Irfan Feb 12, 2014 08:35am

We were tought as young kids that there is no compulsion in religion. It is shameful to negotiate with terrorists and monsters who use women and kids as suicide bombers to kill innocent people. The people of this country and God will not forgive Nawaz league for this. I hope sense previals and criminals are dealt as criminals

turnpike Feb 12, 2014 08:47am

I believe under Taliban branded sharia, women are not allowed to leave home. I am not sure how they are going to leave home and kill people? These female bombers can do us all a favor by exploding at home and finish the menace of TTP. 500 bombers can kill a maximum of 50,000 people which is equal to genocide what TTP has already committed. To secure peace for 180 million, fifty thousand is a small number.

MAK Feb 12, 2014 08:50am

so Abdul Aziz finally comes out as a TTP propagandist. He should in fact be replaced by Shahidullah Shahid (spokesperson of TTP). Besides, is it true that Islamic Sharia allows use of Female Suicide Bombers, let alone both genders?

KAJ Feb 12, 2014 08:55am

There is only one way to deal with these monsters( TTP) , eliminate them.

Amjad Wyne Feb 12, 2014 09:00am

Cam someone tell the Maulana that the rest of the Pakistan has 180 million ready to sacrifice their lives for this nation.

fida sayani Feb 12, 2014 09:01am

Is the maulana, the burqa clad maulana who ran away from the Islamabad seminary and left several children of the seminary to die, consider himself as one of the 500 women suicide bomber?

Ayaz Feb 12, 2014 09:02am

And yet Aziz roams freely in Islamabad ... Definitely he has the support of powerful people in the government. The guy is a terrorist and openly leads prayers in Red Mosque ...

AbbasToronto Feb 12, 2014 09:06am

Not even 500,000 suicide bombers will be able to achieve the ends that TTP stands for.

Sunny Boye Feb 12, 2014 09:07am

More of these statements will help Musharaf cause and be against Nawaz Govt...

ali ahmed Feb 12, 2014 09:07am

I wish if Maulana Abdul Aziz had said: "TTP has 500 women scholars."

Mani Feb 12, 2014 09:08am

Molana sb awaam ty taras khao tussan tay burqa pa k nikal jana ;-)

Agha Ata Feb 12, 2014 09:13am

Taliban are right here. IF they really have 500 female suicide bombers. IF.... But remember one thing. As aircrafts can not conquer a place, and soldiers have to come on the ground to do it, similarly suicide bombers will get you NOTHING. you will have to come forward to take anything. Besides we know that how many mullahs there are in burqas.

Hammad Haider Feb 12, 2014 09:17am

500 suicide bombers? Bring them on. We have half million army with weapons and the will to die for the country, Aziz they are not carrying water guns. Let the peace talks take place without this funded agent who is trying his best to initiate war between army and taliban. And yes if we are left with no choice but to eliminate the taliban, then we will show how much power we have.

Well ... Feb 12, 2014 09:30am

This is the worst thing I heard from someone ... because I know and believe one thing about Taliban they never used their women's never ever ... I guess Maulana want to be seen on big news ...

Saif Feb 12, 2014 09:33am

What a way to implement Shariah. First Lal masjid students taking up arms and now TTP claiming to have 400 women suicide bombers. Thanks to our judicial system who let go criminals free after 2 years of jail term.

Azhar Ahmed Feb 12, 2014 09:36am

He is the same Maulana who ran in a burqa......It is a shame that Pakistan Army could clean Tamil Tigers from Sri Lanka , the worst and notorious of all suicide bombers butb they can not clean their own back yard

Faisal Shaukat Feb 12, 2014 09:40am

This guy is working on his own personal mission. I cant even see his face, its disgusting like his words. He dont have the right to say so. put him in jail or throw him in atlantic.

malik Feb 12, 2014 09:44am

Is his own daughter among them? I don't understand why our Govt. tolerates these kind of nihilistic mindsets.

ahmed Feb 12, 2014 09:47am

Do they all wear the burqa like this Mullah Aziz was wearing when caught trying to escape from Lal Masjid?

Hornet Feb 12, 2014 09:49am

I hope atleast one of his sister, a daughter and his wife are also included in that squad of suicide bombers. Though he too qualifies to be a female suicide bomber as he is the same person who was caught while trying to flee Lal masjid.

Faruq Feb 12, 2014 09:51am

I'm guessing he was the one responsible for making their dress code, after his Lal Masjid burka episode. Whose idea was it to give this character publicity anyways?

Mir Taqi Feb 12, 2014 09:54am

Shame on this Moulana

Parvez Feb 12, 2014 09:55am

Half of these must be in Jamia Hafsa

hussain684 Feb 12, 2014 09:57am

Still you believe Lal Masjid operation was wrong. He is going beyond Taliban.

usman Aziz Feb 12, 2014 09:58am

even then Pak govt is ready to talk with worst killers (talban) and media give time to this man abdul Aziz , the father of terrorists and their spokesperson

Everlasting Peace Feb 12, 2014 10:07am

Musharraf should have killed him when he had the chance.

Saleem Feb 12, 2014 10:16am

So justification for dialogues are not on principle but as there is threat of suicide bombing, government should talk.

observer Feb 12, 2014 10:27am

Chalo! At least TTP finds some use for women.

omer Feb 12, 2014 10:30am

He should know, he is one of them.

M Rafique Feb 12, 2014 10:33am

Maulana saheb seems to be in full tone threatening the state and 180 Millions of Pakistani Muslims and Mian saheb is deliberately avoiding to face real challenge to gain time to expand his family business empire. Both brothers traveling Turkey off and on in their business interest.

Deutschland Feb 12, 2014 10:39am

This man is hungry for media attention and once again coming out of his 'burqa' to get camera flashes and threaten the state, its civilians. Govt should've demanded removal of his name from negotiating team, he is a criminal representing criminals. I can't forget the day when he left Lal-masjid in a 'burqa' , that was height of embarrassment for a MAN who holed himself in a Masjid , saw children dying in front of his eyes and tried to escape the scene. How did he find courage to face people again ?

VK Feb 12, 2014 10:47am

So they are blackmailing a country with suicide bombers. and the country is .... silent... numb....scared........

Left is Right Feb 12, 2014 10:48am

Thank you for the info, Moulana ! Please advise, if you are one of them (500x) ???

GS@Y Feb 12, 2014 10:57am

Once again this horrible human being is threatening the country with suicide attacks unless we do what he says. It's too bad he has once again been given prominence and has not be thrown in jail- or worse, hanged- for his 2007 antics. Only in Pakistan can a man like him be walking around free after a fiasco like the Lal Masjid firestorm.

moeed Feb 12, 2014 10:58am

says the man who tried to escape wearing a burqah and our media should not highlight people like this

waqas Feb 12, 2014 10:58am

This mulvi is the biggest terrorists of all, and govt made me the peace maker, !

omer khan shaheen Feb 12, 2014 11:00am

How come this man is on bench, among the peace makers? He seems to miss the trait of being humble that Prophet Mohammad PBUH always advised a momin. He is loud, impatient, aggressive and most obvious an unwise person, especially from his comments about suicide bombers! when you are in the middle of peace talks, unlike what you would expect from an Alim or an Imam.

Rajat Feb 12, 2014 11:04am

I wish if it was 500 Doctors or 500 teachers. But for people who have Zero Understanding of Religion it has to be this way..

Raza Feb 12, 2014 11:10am

This maulana should know better about women. He has been sharing their clothings as well in times of need. He seems to terrorize the Islamic state of Pakistan from TTP. He is as much a TTP supporter as any I have witnessed.

sja Feb 12, 2014 11:12am

There is a saying in Urdu yay moon aur masoor ki daal. Is this not the same person who was having Quran Kareem in his hands and twisting it side to side to show what he wanted --- can he cite any AYAT in the Quran about the type of joke he is beardishly doing with the real Sharia.

Oh Allah, yay parhay likhay agar inka parha likah inhi kay kaaam nahin ataa to yay Allah ki shariat or uskay rasool Maqbool Salaam ki sunnat ko kahan samjhain kay - can he produce one like among the lady sahabeens in the days of prophet.

Ina lillah ay wa inaaa ilaaahi rajiooon.

Ahmed Feb 12, 2014 11:14am

Shame, these Suicide bombers are for whom.......for our innocent men, women and children?

Ahmad Gul Feb 12, 2014 11:16am

so, we set this guy free, for what ? he's clearly a fanatic consorting with enemies of the state.

Dilip Thorat Feb 12, 2014 11:32am

What is this gentle man trying to say? I think he deserves to be prime minister or president of Pakistan. Even chair PCB. And chief justice of Pakistan. Sharia Law. WOW. Sounds great. I would like to see Sharia Law in Pakistan. I think this what Pakistan was made for. True & Pure Islamic country. People you'll are in the right direction. I admire you'll for this. Some impure people of Pakistan may object. But in that case separate land should be given to people who wants to make Pakistan more Pure and Pure and Pure.

Mustafa Feb 12, 2014 11:32am

Maulana Sahib knows very well that not everyone wearing a burqa is a woman.

Chand Feb 12, 2014 11:38am

Shameful. What kind of maulana is he? Shameful that government is even negotiating with these characters. I think they should wear bangles and retire if thet are to give in to these threats.

Pakistani Feb 12, 2014 11:39am

So next time if some women dies in attack, dont cry they are killing women. They are killing suicide bombers!!!

Masroor Feb 12, 2014 11:48am

And government is still trying to negotiate with this group?????????

Mohsin Shahzad Feb 12, 2014 11:49am

"TTP has 500 women suicide bombers" Aziz is playing same old tricks as he did in 2007, trying to deter and dissuade govt from acting militarily.

Molana Slayer Feb 12, 2014 11:50am

Molanas are coming, Molanas are coming, Molanas are coming, Molanas are coming you sleeping Pakistanis to take you dark ages of 7th centuries. And you sleeping and snoring away as if there is a bright future ahead for you, your daughters and your children. All in the name of Islam !

mimi sur Feb 12, 2014 11:52am

If people like this bearded men are there in the country , then the country needs no enemy.

Jamshed Khan Feb 12, 2014 11:56am

A threat and blackmail. So you want to implement Sharia by forcing women into suicide bombing and by killing innocent civilians? Wow! If you think that suicide bombers will go to heaven, then why haven't you yourself committed suicide yet? You give a bad name to our religion and to humanity and you disgust me.

Neptune Feb 12, 2014 11:58am

Maulana Aziz wants to hold a nation of 180 million people hostage by 500 female suicide bombers. The earlier we do away with this peace-talk nonsense the better.

Farrukh Naqvi Feb 12, 2014 12:04pm

And we want to negotiate with them...whoever came up with that brilliant idea?

Youth Feb 12, 2014 12:09pm

Why not this man himself become a suicide bomber. He is used to taking advantage of women the way he did while fleeing from LAL Masjid wearing a burqa. Shame on this type of character

Ajamal Feb 12, 2014 12:12pm

Implementing Shariah at the threat of suicide bomber!!

m.J Feb 12, 2014 12:16pm

HA HA HA to all those who had opposed the Lal Masjid Attack and thought it was the worst thing to do. And you wanted Musharraf to be tried for it.. Look at the guy who tried to escape wearing a Burqa, being a committee member of the taliban. He should have been hanged when he was in prison. Now lets sit back and enjoy having scum come in and dictate what we should do and what we shouldn't.

Shahzada Muhammad Musa Feb 12, 2014 12:17pm

It is pathetic to see that a man who took Islamabad hostage , had ties with extremists is part of negotiators team and is trying to scare the STATE with talks about 500 suicicde bombers, well reality check! we have suffered already and still stand strong, no need for peace talks, their shariah is no shariah of mine, shariah should be seen in light of Quran and Sunnah. These TTP look like savages they are no MOMINS. I say we go in strong and get done with this.

TAM Feb 12, 2014 12:22pm

Oh you must be so proud of your daredevil daughters.

I must give credit to Maulana Sahib though for the huge efforts expended in the brainwashing sessions. Clearly there do not seem to be other important things to learn in an otherwise mundane curriculum to do something progressive for the nation.

Lage raho maulvi sahib.

mohommad Feb 12, 2014 12:39pm

they all will go to hell as they like this mullah speak islam but dont act on it

Concerned Citizen Feb 12, 2014 12:53pm

How can someone implement sharia if they are violating the basic tenants of it. Where is it written that suicide bombers can be used in Jihad. And where it is written that women are allowed to participate in wars let alone become suicide bombers. Please stop this hypocrisy.

imran Feb 12, 2014 12:55pm

maulana sahib should see a psychiatrist.

Imran Feb 12, 2014 01:12pm

When the operation starts, can we please take out this guy first?

Parvez Feb 12, 2014 01:13pm

Let him have his 10 minutes in the limelight...............and then do what MUST be done.

mightnightblue Feb 12, 2014 01:39pm

He is threatening to Pakistan! General Musharraf has made a mistake for keeping him alive. He is again spreading hate speech and comes up with his own agenda. Please ban him for talking to media.

Morad786 Feb 12, 2014 01:42pm

This guys should be ashamed of himself....shouldn't he announce and lead from the front and put on a belt before asking the women to do so!

Crazy man distorting the Religion and its values.....

I surely hope that people like this are shamed in public and put away for their preaching and rhetoric putting lives and society at risk!

Asad Feb 12, 2014 01:49pm

Why is this man free? He is responsible for the death of innocent children who were incited by him and his brother to violence against the state...

Asif B Feb 12, 2014 01:56pm

I hate the smile on his face!

a thought Feb 12, 2014 02:06pm

Looks like Maulana added in these numbers those males as well who like to dress up in women clothes and have facinations for wearing burqas as well. May be Maulana accidently counted himself into that list as well as he has that proven facination as well..

zahid Feb 12, 2014 02:07pm

is he negotiating to strike a peace deal or here to further terrorize the already beleaguered nation by spreading such baloney? I wonder what possible outcome are we expecting from the dialogue with TTP when one member of the negotiating council spearheaded a militant insurgency in the heart of the capital just a few years back whereas the other is considered to be the spiritual father of talibans. may God have mercy upon us and save us from the scourge of Talibans.

syedq Feb 12, 2014 02:13pm

and this is suppose to be a good thing molana?

Srinivas Shirur Feb 12, 2014 02:14pm

Only 500. What others doing.

Taimur Feb 12, 2014 02:15pm

If by female suicide bombers he means suicide bombers wearing burqas then I am sure he telling the truth from his own personal experience.

muzammil ullah khan Feb 12, 2014 02:17pm

He is not in the negotiation team . Then why is this Burqa Mulla being given so much media time ? Beats me !!

Asad Ali Feb 12, 2014 02:21pm

Now This molvi creating his own politics grounds in a such golden chance.

Amarnath Feb 12, 2014 02:39pm

Something is terribly wrong that the ordinary Pakistanismust be worried about and must question. Why are the political leaders sitting I negotiating tables with the people who are so violent vocally and in their act.... and that too when the negotiations are ongoing. Are the leaders hiding the influence of these violent people over them?

Iqbal khan Feb 12, 2014 02:39pm

If this is what Islam and sharia is I am not proud of being Muslim.

Rahim Feb 12, 2014 02:52pm

Why waste time on people like Maulana Aziz? He is destroying any Islamic teaching. These are criminals and should be persecuted as such.

farhan Feb 12, 2014 02:57pm

Nawaz sharif, Ex CJ of Pakistan should be tried for treason for releasing Maulana Aziz instead of Musharraf. Drone them all!!!

Arslan Ahmad Feb 12, 2014 02:59pm

This Maulana Wow! How he escaped and let his student die during Lal Masjid Operation. He become made. Suicide is Haram in Islam.

Justice Feb 12, 2014 03:01pm

I am waiting for the day when this guy will get his share of drone.

Faryal Feb 12, 2014 03:02pm

How on earth this man is spreading terror. Mr. Burqa Avenger has proven that Musharraf was right on Lal Masjid issue. I am also sure that those so called innocent "bachiyan" who are claimed to be victimized during Lal masjid incident, if they really existed, were innocent suicide bombers. I am happy that same print and electronic media is now exposing Mr. Aziz aka burqa avenger whom they were portraying as hero of Lal Masjid few days ago. Those people must open their eyes now who were shouting over Lal Masjid Issue blindly against Mr. Musharraf. O' Lord Almighty why not you listed his name among Lal Masjid's so called Martyrs. Now I know why.

PAkistani 1 Feb 12, 2014 03:02pm

Does Any one disagree with Lal Masjid action now?

L Ahmad Feb 12, 2014 03:05pm

Maulana is smart. He is turning innocent people into suicide bombers while he enjoys the daily joys of life.

Combaticus Feb 12, 2014 03:05pm

I hate this man ! He is a bigger threat to Pakistan than the 500 suicide bombers he mentions. Why does the media give coverage to this insane person. If he is so bent on implementing sharia in Pakistan, why did he try to escape from the Lal Masjid operation in a Burka ?

Ishrat Feb 12, 2014 03:14pm

Well the Maulana says,

Mansoor Feb 12, 2014 03:20pm

I love this guy; it's a comedy of the highest order.

Rafiq Feb 12, 2014 03:23pm

A murderer of children is smugly smiling and threatening to kill more. there is no hell or heaven and there is no god.

raj Feb 12, 2014 03:24pm

Where are those synical contributers to this forum for not condemning TTP for supporting the idiology of TTP and their affiliates (PTI, JI and PMLN) linking every suicide blast to drones, now that drones have more or lesss stopped. Tha hate mongers should do justice by agreeing with the liberal elected parties of Pakistan rather than play into the hands of their masters.

Mukesh Feb 12, 2014 03:29pm

Is he really so proud of this????

nom nom Feb 12, 2014 03:39pm

... Maulana has introduced cross dressing to TTP... burqa avengers.. 500 of them..

RZ Feb 12, 2014 03:39pm

So.... the sharia will be implemented because Taliban has 500 female suicide bombers!

Pats Feb 12, 2014 03:40pm

Does Pak has sharp shooters? They can easily put these people to sleep from a distance - once for all.

Hisham Feb 12, 2014 03:44pm

Reading all the comments assure me that Pakistan is still not a lost cause and the crazy guys like this maulana are still in minority. 500, 5000 or 500,000 is still a small minority. Bravo guys!!

Haroon Feb 12, 2014 04:04pm

threatening and blackmailing so openly! :@

Oz Feb 12, 2014 04:04pm

Please DO NOT call him Maulana, the word means someone you follow for the guidance and derrived from "Maula-ana" as in "my Maula".

He is chosen by TTP because he is one of them. Exterminate him and the TTP, that is the only best solution for a united and safe Pakistan.

Vikram Feb 12, 2014 04:07pm

Guys have a promise of jannat if they die, what motivates the females do they have any such motivation.

Karachi Wala Feb 12, 2014 04:10pm

faisal Feb 12, 2014 04:11pm

I guess he is one those 500 female suicide bomber, he has mastered the art of wearing burqa and all.

faisal Feb 12, 2014 04:12pm

@Asad: Not according to our courts. In their esteemed judgment Musharraf is traitor and this scum a patriot.

Naveed Alam Khattak Feb 12, 2014 04:15pm

We pray and hope that negotiation should succeed. If it fails, then we need this man first.

Karachi Wala Feb 12, 2014 04:17pm

Does the Govt. and Imran Khan still have any illusions about negotiations? Aitzaz Ahsan was right when he said Taliban are negotiating with Taliban. The military need to wipe all terrorist out. Whether they are in in Burqa or without Burqa. Starting with Moulla Aziz.

Khalid Feb 12, 2014 04:18pm

@mightnightblue: I agree. Musharraf should be tried for not getting rid of this Maulana Burqa.

khanm Feb 12, 2014 04:27pm

In spite of fearful rhetoric and threat from Taliban. The government should stand firm.. should not show any sign of weakness. By acting decisively we will send them a strong message not only to Taliban but other terrorist organization as well and to those who are their sympathizer

Observer Feb 12, 2014 04:48pm

Farooq Ali Feb 12, 2014 04:59pm

A shameful disclosure

Vikram Feb 12, 2014 05:05pm

Most Muslims dream about living under Islamic rule and laws. Pakistanis should support TTP and get ready for Islamic rule.

M. Siddique Feb 12, 2014 05:26pm

Why this Mullah is allowed to be a TTP propagandist. He is a simple criminal and thug. His statements are to serve his own agenda. Media should not give him so much coverage. Moreover, why no one asked him, "under what shariat suicide is allowed"? He has distanced himself from negotiations and must be ignored.

tariq Feb 12, 2014 05:27pm

This guy is actually threatening ,people will realise now why lal masjid operation was necessary .He and his criminal brethren are deluded and there is no reasoning with these people ,the more we delay army action more they get organised. Hope sanity prevails.

Muhammad malabari Feb 12, 2014 05:34pm

This guy is boasting himself as if he has done some big achievement...What will you get by killing innocents

Muhammad Anwar Feb 12, 2014 05:35pm

Why we are negotiating with these people when these are the people Quran speaks openly and warns out being root cause of fitna?

ashiq ahmad Feb 12, 2014 05:38pm

@Combaticus: I am afraid many citizens of this country shall lose faith in Islam because of people like Aziz. The media has exposed him to a level that now people have started loving Musharaf again and hating people who released him. I wonder how does he dare to be giving interviews so freely? Was the current drama of dialogues prepared to give exposure to people like Aziz who is hated the most at the moment. The people of Pakistan may not even agree to any dialogue with TTP if this is the situation

asif Feb 12, 2014 05:40pm

Ex-CJP (Chaudhry) zinda baad!!!

Mlik Feb 12, 2014 05:44pm

molana is trying to threaten the state by mentioning suicide bombers, i think at this thime molana is a person which can halt peace negotiation by producing misunderstanding

ahmedj Feb 12, 2014 05:52pm

@Faryal: Even after eight years you haven't understood the complexity . Lal Masjid should only have been a police operation, not army. Military operation escalated a sensitive delicate problem where Army was already involved in tribal areas and had strong military ties with other western armies operating in Afghanistan. The situation could have been contained and controlled sensibly.

Maulana's comments, if true are inflammatory and provocative and against the norm of peace negotiations.

Introspection Feb 12, 2014 05:55pm

12th April, 1973 The Constitution of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan Preamble

Whereas sovereignty over the entire Universe belongs to Almighty Allah alone, and the authority to be exercised by the people of Pakistan within the limits prescribed by Him is a sacred trust;

Wherein the Muslims shall be enabled to order their lives in the individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah;

Khawar T khyam Feb 12, 2014 05:56pm

I think this Maulana is having his own personal agenda in this negotiation. He want to force some kind of sharia which he want. He sound like the mouth piece of Taliban's propaganda war. He is scaring Pakistani govt and ordinary people to accept his version or get ready to die.

edwardian Feb 12, 2014 05:58pm

Make it 499 please. The 500th was a "man" caught in guise of a burka clad woman.

Sayeed Altaf Hussein Feb 12, 2014 06:03pm

Take the B out now. He is promoting terrorism by giving such interviews. Come COAS wake up before the country goes to point of no return.

naghman qureshi Feb 12, 2014 06:05pm

@Introspection: what are you trying to say

Kesar Feb 12, 2014 06:06pm

All 500 got their training in this dude's seminary. This man is a terrorist and sooner the media personalities and Imran Khan know this the better.

Ajaz khattak Feb 12, 2014 06:08pm

Only a valid degree holder be a lawer, doctor or engineer but every one be a journalist in pakistan although he studied math or physics, That,s why we r facing cheapest kind of journalism, please masscommunication experts be given the chance to do their best.

Sid Feb 12, 2014 06:11pm

@Introspection: Talk about "making a rod for your own back" with that amendment!

asgher Feb 12, 2014 06:11pm

molana aziz seems very happy about this...

Talibans just like Indians can keep dreaming about ruling Pakistan and Pakistanis...

500 bombers may kill 5-10 thousand civilians and then what??

Sayeed Altaf Hussein Feb 12, 2014 06:14pm

@Iqbal khan: Its not brother. Don't loose faith. One day these people will be exterminated.

Feroz Feb 12, 2014 06:18pm

It is blasphemy for a Priest to preach violence, leave aside practice it. I think the clean up should start with the Mullahs and Maulanas, before the TTP is targeted.

asgher Feb 12, 2014 06:19pm

after such crazy demands the peace talks are already failed....Army and Airforce should be loading their arsenal to flat the mountains of waziristan and fata...Familes should pack their bags...

NHM Feb 12, 2014 06:23pm

and how many in the lal masjid?

Iqbal Feb 12, 2014 06:35pm

Show me one Hadees where it is required to have 500 female suicide bombers.

swat khan Feb 12, 2014 06:52pm

oye maan!! 500 female suicide bombers??? they all must be Taliban's wives ,completely disappointed by their husband's nonsense mentality, demands ,policies ,so they now want to end their lives. Dear ladies! if could blast in front of Taliban(your husbands) we will be grateful,

roxana Feb 12, 2014 06:56pm

life would be worse than death under the guise of the crazy sharia of the crazy TTP....we should fight them now or be ready to live life on their terms.

Jawad Hassan Feb 12, 2014 07:04pm

TTP has 500 female suicide bombers--'mashallah'. These 500 could easily murder 2500 Pakistanis (I bet mostly Muslims)--'mashallah'. What does Imran Khan, mullah Fazalur Rehman, mullah Munawar have to say about this? And also the government which is 'negotiating' (surrendering) to these confirmed killers who are openly proud to admit their murderous capabilities. This man, mullah Aziz is part of the TTP negotiating team--it is beyond rationality how an elected government's representatives can even sit with this man! Where are we and Pakistan going if not to hell?

Treazt Feb 12, 2014 07:06pm

@Hisham: most people in Pakistan dont read English, so the people here are the minority my friend...

RK Feb 12, 2014 07:06pm

probably three fourth of those women are the bearded variety covered in burqas to stay undetected.......

Seedoo Feb 12, 2014 07:14pm

If American presence in Afghanistan and drones are the real reason for suicide attacks (as alleged by Imran Khan and his followers), then why have the Talibans not mentioned stopping of drone attacks as a prerequisite for talks? For the past 2 weeks, all we have been hearing is the implementation of Sharia by these hooligans.

Mr. Imran Khan: What do you now have to say about your theories?

humanism Feb 12, 2014 07:17pm

we should make everyone sterile.

Sanjeev Feb 12, 2014 07:25pm

It is completely unislamic as islam does not allow women to fight with weapon.

Robinson V. Feb 12, 2014 07:25pm

Sometimes war is necessary to have long lasting peace. It is sad but Pakistan has to make this tough decision. Is this life where you live in uncertainty. All we want is food and a decent living. There is no guarantee that children going to school or husband/wife going to work will come back home safely. My prayers and good wishes to all my peace loving Pakistani brethren.

Chaudhry K Feb 12, 2014 07:33pm

@edwardian: How about a drone?

Patriot Feb 12, 2014 07:33pm

Maulana with the veil is giving veiled threats. We should not even call him maulana...lot of respected and learned maulana's around. ...he is simply a 'brain dead with a beard'. He can at least be put behind the bars for threatening people...or barred him from the media.

Karachite Feb 12, 2014 07:37pm

Burka avenger at it again! Army get ready for 500 burka clad men disguised as men escaping the military operation. He is playing with the emotions and psychology of people. Sickening...

amin Feb 12, 2014 07:38pm

and he cant tell them that suicide bombing is haram?

ali Feb 12, 2014 07:38pm

how disgusting, he is vaunting as if he is doing a pious work. where are the officials now? he is just saying it in air and nobody is having their ears on.

Leave from senses Feb 12, 2014 07:46pm

If these people are Muslims, I am not. More likely I am a Muslim and these people are not.

M. Ahmed Feb 12, 2014 07:47pm

Take this guy and like him straight to jail and try them for treason. He does not know ABC of Islam.

Imran Feb 12, 2014 07:47pm

@ashiq ahmad: No one will loose faith in Islam. Our faith is not that weak. Islam teaches peace. Its the people like Aziz who give bad name to Islam. In every religion there are extremists just look around the world and our neighbours in India where they also have religious extremists. People like Aziz (don't know why people call him maulana) and who supported him (Ex CJ) and our current PM should not be taken seriously. Wonder how can Nawaz negotiate with him. It seems Nawaz has all along planned this talk to fail. What can be expected from incapable rulers.

Annonymous Feb 12, 2014 07:55pm

Sharia does not spread by suicide bombers Mr. Aziz and this statement is not going to do any good to you.

Now when USA is ready to leave Afghanistan they have changed their statement that it is not their worry and Sharia is their worry. They will go on changing their statements and will go on murdering innocent human beings. Spreading anarchy is the primary objective of these murderers.

Leave from senses Feb 12, 2014 07:56pm

No Kafir or Western conspiracy can harm Islam more than people like these. I never did in the pat but now I want to question my fellow Muslim-hood with these people and surely I am not alone. We must stop these people from harming Islam.

gilani Feb 12, 2014 07:56pm

@farhan: Maulanas like Aziz, so called elected governments of Zardari and Nawaz are giving bad name to Pakistan.

sja Feb 12, 2014 07:59pm

@Mustafa: He has 499 ladies and he himself is standby 500th because he knows fully well how to escape under the burqua -- he had demonstrated it so well ---- 499 others and 1 he himself his burqua ready to run for mission -- he cannot lead by example and send others to die and he looks for worldly leadership gains ----- leadership without exemplary leadership. --- only numbers to threat carrying out missions and killing innocent people, women, children, Oh ALLAH guide these beard brigade as Irfan Hussain term them in his writings in the Dawn.

Usman Ansari Feb 12, 2014 08:04pm

So Musharraf is being tried for treason, but this "man" is still walking free?? This man has committed treason and murder, and he along with his group, must be held responsible by our judiciary.

GM Feb 12, 2014 08:09pm

Is this not a threatening sentence. Pak Govt and army should take notice of this if they have any spine and hang him publicly.

Fawad Feb 12, 2014 08:15pm

@edwardian: Ha ha ha,good one, somehow I totally forgot about the Maulana Burqa Poosh.

khaled Feb 12, 2014 08:24pm

The Maulana dint mention if the 500 women suicide bombers were Muslim, As in Islam there is no concept of suicide, which is considered Haram.

Ranganath Feb 12, 2014 08:28pm

Gen. Musharraf is the best man for the job. Give it to him and then see this Maulana dance.

imran ali Feb 12, 2014 08:35pm

salute to judiciary for making him from killer to hero..

independentthinker Feb 12, 2014 08:39pm

WOW! they have 50 suicide bombers - when suicide is against Islam! Great way to practice and promote your religion. I bet these so called suicide bombers have been brainwashed and are forced into giving up their lives. Given a choice, they would also like to enjoy God's gift to them, which we call "life". This blackmail needs to stop and these young souls, who are growing up to be extremists need to be given a chance to live a better life. Our country owes it to them and to the other millions, whose life is threatened every minute of the day. The only course of action is apply full force and eliminate these Talibans from the face of God's earth.

Irfan Baloch Feb 12, 2014 08:46pm

@Vikram: such female suicide bombers are then promised that they will be distributed equally among these guys & they must feel lucky

khan Feb 12, 2014 08:53pm

The moulana makes it sound like a good thing but on television insists on a peaceful solution.

Dilip Thorat Feb 12, 2014 08:55pm

@asgher: HAHA.. I fail to understand on what basis are you comparing Taliban and India. If India would have been interested in ruling Pakistan, you wouldn't have got any land to stay. You may have grown up with Arabs and there camels. I guess they would have also kicked away you people (2nd class, converted) like what PAKISTANI TALIBAN. And have you ever heard about India ever ruling any country my dear World Purest Muslim friend. Now you dont wonder. Just Ponder.

Mohammad Waseem Feb 12, 2014 08:56pm

@Iqbal khan: I am with you

Osb Feb 12, 2014 09:05pm

@Vikram: This has nothing to do with Islam!! These are the sort of people Islam warns us about....just as you find extremists in any religion we have ours and they've hijacked Islam thus the sate of Muslims.

DW Feb 12, 2014 09:05pm

I yearn for the day when one of those bombers blow themselves up on this guy...

Raj Feb 12, 2014 09:09pm

@ ASGHER, why so bitterness towards India and Indians, we Indians never wanted to rule Pakistan and Pakistanis, why can't we be good, responsible neighbors? , lets hope and prey for lasting peace and prosperity in both countries.

Khalid Feb 12, 2014 09:14pm

@ahmedj: Actually I don't really mind you does the job. Police, Army, Navy, the Air Force or anyone else. It is just that this man is no Maulana. He is a common criminal and should not be given the prominence he is enjoying.

Mustafa Feb 12, 2014 09:15pm

Please folks wake up and understand the situation. All of Pakistan's internal and external enemies have joined hands against our Armed Forces who are safeguarding our nuclear weapons. Maulana Aziz , Aman ki Asha, Narinder Modi, IMF and tens of thousands of NGOs "working" in Pakistan are different facades of the same menace who don't want to see a nuclear Pakistan

Mumbai-Pune Express Feb 12, 2014 09:15pm

@asgher: we have not any dream to rule any Failed state if it had so then today Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar would be occupied by India much more year before.

Mumbai-Pune Express Feb 12, 2014 09:18pm

It is so interesting fact that the recommended person by Taliban seating in the Country's Capital and threatening to explode bombs and killing people AND nobody doing anything???

Laeeq, NY Feb 12, 2014 09:21pm

Good luck Nawaz government! Talks with terrorist will bring more bad news for the government. 400 to 500 women suicide bombers? One may ask this mullah how many were trained in his Madrassah?

Khalid Baloch Feb 12, 2014 09:22pm

@Faryal: Farayal - I agree with you 100% - I have one more question for this guy - From those 500 how many are from his family?, Mother, Mother in Law, Sister, daughter, Grand mother ..... Has he implemented Islam in his family? has he been just in his affairs to his family or nay one he knows? - how can he say he can "order" other mulsim to kill mulsims - Is he in his right state of mind. He is acting as "god" .

Tariq, Lahore Feb 12, 2014 09:31pm

Gen. Musharraf slipped up at Lal Musjid he should have got rid of this Aziz mullah then!

321 Feb 12, 2014 09:32pm

I don't mind shari'ah....just as long as it's not their extremist version or else there would be no point.

Hisham Feb 12, 2014 09:39pm

Muhammad Ali Jinnah said in his 11 August 1947 speech that ". You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed -- that has nothing to do with the business of the State." In the same speech he also said that he also said in the same speech "We are starting in the days where there is no discrimination, no distinction between one community and another, no discrimination between one caste or creed and another. We are starting with this fundamental principle: that we are all citizens, and equal citizens, of one State."

As a nation we need to remind ourselves of our founder's dream!!

First Do No Wrong Feb 12, 2014 09:59pm

@mohommad: No one should speak for God in what he will do. You make the same mistake that this Anti Humanity Mullah is doing.

Ahmer Feb 12, 2014 10:00pm

An empty threat by an empty vessel. Like last time, Maulana Abdul Aziz will don a burqa and hide among women when the going gets tough.

outsider Feb 12, 2014 10:01pm

Actually its good that such people come out of the shadows and reveal their true agenda. Now let's watch how their apologists in media support this vision of Pakistan's future.

imranrahbar Feb 12, 2014 10:02pm

he is the 500th avialable in islamabad!!!

abbas Feb 12, 2014 10:02pm

@Vikram: True Pakistanis want Jinnahs Pakistan, not what the TTP are pedaling.

Pakistani Feb 12, 2014 10:03pm

rajesh Feb 12, 2014 10:04pm

F Jameel Feb 12, 2014 10:07pm

@Vikram:You are absolutely right! We should all listen to your wise advice and live happily ever after! hmmmmm, isnt that right?

Umer Feb 12, 2014 10:17pm

Maulana Aziz should go on a suicide mission himself...lead by example.. But i guess he loves life too much.

Khan Feb 12, 2014 10:37pm

@Vikram: Thanks for sharing - from one Muslim brother to another.

Zaheer Feb 12, 2014 10:39pm

This is man, who hid behind females and donned the Burka to escape from Lal Masjid-what a shameless coward? And look at him now, with that smirk on his face and open bravado, he has the audacity of challenging the writ of the government and openly threatening the innocent people of the country, once again hiding behind supposedly Burka clad 500 female suicide bombers- once a coward always a coward!! Further, this talk of serving the cause of (his version) of Islam, and demanding imposition of Sharia law and all has nothing to do with Islam-it is to draw attention, self- importance beyond numbers and simply a ploy for a power grab, the sooner we realize this, the better.Time for the government and the society at large to "walk softly, but carry a big stick" and draw that proverbial "line in the sand"

Imran Feb 12, 2014 10:43pm

@Vikram: There is already Islamic rule in Pakistan. We don't need Taliban rule.

Sohail Feb 12, 2014 10:49pm

Make no mistake Maulana Sahib, terrorists never have, and never will, occupy and rule any country - let alone a nation of 180 million (mostly) moderate Muslims. Shame on the Pakistani administration for trying to negotiate with such an incendiary and openly threatening figure-head of the TTP. His claims are enough to incriminate and prosecute him.

AZMAT KHAN Feb 12, 2014 10:50pm

@Mlik: Had you any doubt earlier?

Atheist JD Feb 12, 2014 10:52pm

The best solution is that ttp is told to form a political party and an emergency election is held in pak . IF people vote for ttp, it will be handed power and they can themselves amend constitution as they like ! In the end people should win always!

bkh Feb 12, 2014 10:53pm

Quran Sura 4

The white bearded Mullah boast that he has 500 women groomed as suicide bombers. Suicide is against the commandment of Allah and his Prophet Mohammed The Mullah should be tried under the Sharia laws for aiding & abetting in committing suicide under false pretenses that the timid women will be rewarded in heaven, and their families by way of money by the sinful mullahs.

Abbas Feb 12, 2014 10:55pm

Time for ordinary citizens to pick up weapons and start killing these Burqa moulvis one by one and eliminiate suicide bombers. Wake up Army. Please do something while Nawaz and PTI keeps negotiating with terrorists claiming this to be 'someone else's' war!

Zaib Feb 12, 2014 10:55pm

Islam is a religion of peace and it is forbidden in islam to spread blood shed of people. This mulla attitude is like a threatener.I don't know why media giving him an importance. This is a man who is a killer of innocent students of lal masgid . If he had surrendered then never this incident would happen.

Last Word Feb 12, 2014 11:02pm

What a proud proclamation of human live bombs created for death and destruction to spread the twisted ideology ? Jeeve Pakistan but how ?

Sohail Feb 12, 2014 11:04pm

@Vikram: Just read the string of comments and you will realize that most Muslims do not want the twisted interpretation of Sharia that the Taliban want to enforce. It would be same as believing that most Hindus aspire to the teachings, beliefs and ideology of the extremist, right-wing Shiv Sena.

Ali Feb 12, 2014 11:11pm

Including him or without him ?

Pakistani Feb 12, 2014 11:18pm

@Hisham: Dear Brother Hisham; Majority of Pakistanis are lost and dead morally and ethically because most of them lie, cheat and worship money as their god. Most of them also do not love their country where their families and relatives live. Now, please tell me if Pakistanis are living or dead?
Talibans and their sympathizers are the enemy of Pakistan and anyone condoning their ideology should be tried and hanged. Compare this to other countries where spreading hate about a group of people on any grounds is a punishable crime. The first reaction when I read your comment was that I agree that misguided Talibans are a threat but a small one. However, the bigger threats are the evil and corrupt people found in every city of Pakistan who lie, cheat and kill others for money. Why not start cleaning up from the past and present thugs of Pakistan who call themselves the leaders.

Zobia Khan Feb 12, 2014 11:22pm

He is threatening all the citizens of Pakistan. You cowards be afraid of the suicide bombers and hand over the country to the Taliban. And by what standard does he measure success??? The US is not defeated in Afghanistan, on the contrary, they ruled it for 10 years and are now withdrawing of their accord. Maybe its fodder for the Aziz's followers, but he is just blowing smoke.

Nasr Feb 12, 2014 11:24pm

Maulana Saheb

Baray bole, bole rahay ho.

Tariq, Lahore Feb 12, 2014 11:29pm

Our visionless leaders are devoid of clear-cut policies in all domains of government therefore anyone who is daring enough gets a platform to shout their mouths off. In the case of gun totting extremists they're shouting the loudest knowing fully well that our lame leaders are not going to do anything about them!

Indian Feb 12, 2014 11:41pm

@asgher: Sir, who wants to enter a sick quagmire willingly. Please be assured, you have absolutely no threat from India. Please enjoy your place, don't come out, no one will ever bother you.

Tariq Feb 12, 2014 11:47pm

Its Talban negotiating with Talban, death to Talban who are distorting our culture and heritage.

arif ahmed Feb 12, 2014 11:54pm

Why isn't this gentleman aka burka aziz considered a traitor..siding with anti state elements like Taliban? Prosecute people like him instead of Musharraf

Syed Ahmed Feb 13, 2014 12:01am

@asgher: Indian's, people are there to help them. Just listen to TV talk show "Khra Such" of Feb 11, 2014.

Ammar Feb 13, 2014 12:06am

@Naveed Alam Khattak:

I am very interested in understanding what can be the possible successful outcome here? If you are negotiating with mindless murderers, what can you really expect?

independentthinker Feb 13, 2014 12:07am

He seems so proud to make this announcement. Wonder if out of these 500 women, how many are actually related to him - such as his daughters, wife, nieces, etc.? These sick individuals have ruined the name of our esteemed religion and have destroyed so many innocent lives. The fact they have openly stated the fact that they have suicide bombers should be reason enough to either put them behind bars for life or impose capital punishment. They don't deserve to walk freely.

independentthinker Feb 13, 2014 12:09am

@asgher: How would you feel if amongst those 5-10 thousand civilians, some happen to be your family members. We need to stop them before even one innocent civilian is killed - if we can help it. They need to be destroyed before they can do any harm to us.

Imran Feb 13, 2014 12:11am

I wonder if Aziz dude has any of his own children listed to suicide bombers or was he promised by his guru Bin Ladin to have his children sent abroad of western education?

Vik3ings Feb 13, 2014 12:21am

You may gain temporary appeasement by a policy of concession to violence, but you do not gain lasting peace that way. The Talib are A Mafia nothing less. They are Bandits taking the future of pakistan.

Garagozlou Feb 13, 2014 12:27am

Who says there is no equality between male and femalein Islam. here is exapmple. well done Maulana

jamal Feb 13, 2014 12:27am

What qualifies a person to be called Maulana? These days everyone is Maulana with multi colour turbans.

FRKhan Feb 13, 2014 12:34am

This man is a real focal person behind the terrorism in Pakistan. Had he not introduced his own form of sharia law, the situation would have been different. Now i know why Musharraf attacked his seminary.

irfan Feb 13, 2014 12:37am

This is all propaganda . Government should surrender and Taliban do whatever they like . What a bad luck we have by having such sort of retard minded person .

How exactly Electricity theft is being justified in Fata even before army invasion ? According to which sharia law Jirgah is allowed ?

Hang this man first.

Ga Feb 13, 2014 02:04am

Maulana should know that if America wanted they could've easily wiped entire Afghanistan off the map. But this is the 21st century and American military has to deal with a strong human rights lobby in America itself.

abdulaziz Feb 13, 2014 02:20am

When the Taliban brought Sharia to Afghanistan, most Pakistanis hailed them as heros of Islam and celebrated it. Why are Pakistanis now saying no to Taliban to bring Sharia in Pakistan?

abdulaziz Feb 13, 2014 02:22am

@Morad786: When these guys brought Sharia in Afghanistan, it was a great thing, but when they talk about doing the same in Pakistan, it is distortion to you.

MUSHARRAF was very right in going after this Maulana. But the corrupt selfish politicians and the judges , cornered MUSHARRAF instead. Pakistan is paying a very high price.

MUSHARRAF zindabaad.

We are not going to be scared. Let us all oppose these errant Mullahs and the politicians who are spreading terror .

Ajaya K Dutt Feb 13, 2014 03:35am

Very encouraging to read so many comments against religious fanatics killing innocent.

I wish it was same outrage when Hindus were killed and persecuted in 1947 and thereafter. It would not have filtered to Ahmedia, Shia, Ismaelly and then to every day normal Muslim, who does not have long enough beard.

S. A. M. Feb 13, 2014 04:11am

Aziz you have been teaching your students to sacrifice their lives in the name of religion don't they ever question you that dear teacher why don't you set an example first yourself. If they don't I think they are under the heavy influence of drugs and not religious fervour.

Asif Hussain Feb 13, 2014 04:21am

Wow, I guess TTP considers this is as equal rights for women and they call this progress.

Sami Feb 13, 2014 05:10am

Why Pakistan has chosen this Terrorist Aziz, He should be arrested. He is playing game. Pakistan should follow the constitution and fight against these terrorists and bring them to justice. These terrorist have killed so many innocent people in the world and also so many in Pakistan. Please save Pakistan and do not negotiate. IF you negotiate with them, they will always come with stupid and in-humane demands, because people who kill other innocent people are not people but animal.

Intrepid Feb 13, 2014 06:18am

.....and the Pakistanis are just going to idly sit around and allow these fanaticals to destroy the lives of others...just because they are different!!!

Haroon Rooha Feb 13, 2014 06:36am

They are negotaiting to prove who is better muslim ??.we all know TTP is.

the indefatigable! Feb 13, 2014 06:46am

the TTP blows off schools imparting modern education. whereas, the holy Prophet (peace & mercy be upon Him) urged us to "seek education even if it is as far as china". was there any madarsa, back in the 7th century AD, in china? no, not at all! Therefore, what kind of teachings of Islam the TTP want to impose on us is a big-question-mark!

Ibrahim Feb 13, 2014 07:04am

Please stop providing cheap publicity to this joker. This is a dangerous trend. His credibility level is zero. He is just enjoying the lime light, and making ridiculous statements!

Imran Feb 13, 2014 07:18am

I am liking this guy... he is exposing TTP's real intentions. I think we should make him a celebrity and let him talk more. Only then, we will understand the true nature of Taliban and a society level. I vote that this man be given his own show where he describes Islam.

a.rehman Feb 13, 2014 07:50am

can maulana A. Aziz or any taliban leader give proof from quran or hadith that suicide is allowed in islam. If not then what will be their end and how they will face Allah on the day of judgement.

Ali Hassan Bhatti Feb 13, 2014 08:02am

Time for some action against drug dealers and terrorists

Talha Feb 13, 2014 08:16am

my only question where does islam say to do suicide attack on innocent people, if he is threatening to govt. or army about suicide attacks, that will never happen. eventually they will kill innocent people with those handful female/male suicide bombers.

that's not what Islam taught us !!!! in the whole life of Nabi Kareem >SAW. where did you learn to kill innocent people ?

Mohammed A. Sukhear Feb 13, 2014 08:50am

This is appalling to hear such a statement from a scholar about female suicide bombers. We should not get intimidated by such remarks. The government is giving them the last chance to stop the terror in the country. I am concerned about the innocent people who may become victim of the violence if these negotiations don

Aziz Feb 13, 2014 09:11am

@asgher: You analyze it.

TI Feb 13, 2014 09:50am

I can't stand this coward. When it came to save his skin, he dressed like woman and escaped. He spread propaganda and polluted innocent minds of countless minors. The spineless and equally coward judiciary cleared him from all charges. What a disservice to sacred religion!

Wasim Feb 13, 2014 09:50am

@Vikram: Your first sentence is correct. Regd 2nd sentence, TTP does not represent Islam. Your secnd sentence is exactly what those ppl would say who don't want to see Islam having presented as a solution to the mankind free from all injustices. Quran says about Muslims, you are the nation of middle path. I would highly recommend that you take some time off to study Quran

wizarat Feb 13, 2014 09:53am

This is one of the spokesperson of TTP. I wonder why President Musharraf and ISI left this character alone while he was in the Burqa.

Riaz Feb 13, 2014 09:57am

What a country...where a terrorist threaten the government directly and no one dare to oppose....come on Pakistan show some patriotism and save your country from this internal enemies...hate us (Indian) later :-)

Patriot Pakistni Feb 13, 2014 09:58am

First of all I am surprised as why no Suo-Moto or article 6 complaint filed against this person. Secondly,

As Pakistani, I strongly feel that Mr. Musharaf did two blunders in his career. The first was that instead of sacking iftikhar chaudhry he should just get rid by using 9mm and then allow 3 days of public mourning and park or a road after his name and make it history. The second one was that instead of arresting this Mulah. Musharaf should gave 9mm to him, his fiery wife and all others who wore burqa and chose to challenge state's sovereignty.

Had Mr. Musharaf taken those two decision, Pakistan, would have been different today.

Rakesh Feb 13, 2014 10:01am

Even being an Indian I feel sorry for the current situation of's horrible....Pakistani govt. please deal with the situation on top priority.

khan Feb 13, 2014 10:18am

What other services these women can offer when they are not at suicide mission?

Mansoor Sajid Feb 13, 2014 10:28am

Aziz should be put on trial on treason charges along with Nawaz Sharif. How dare he is openly threatening Pakistan with dire consequences. And look at Nawaz who in his self-interet has given the green light to negotiate with the terrorist groups(s) who have launched a war against the State. Isn't it a treason?

Sameer Feb 13, 2014 11:08am

What an achievement. The no. of women Suicide bomber has been constantly increasing. And these people glorify it. Half of the Pakistani people believe in and admire TTP. Wow. Still they wonder why people around the world see them as bad people.

AC Feb 13, 2014 11:21am

@Introspection: Go on until you tired of it.

AC Feb 13, 2014 11:28am

Best negotiator!!

Ray Feb 13, 2014 12:33pm

@ahmedj: Wrong it was rightly a miltary operation as ample time was given for surrender. They desecrated the mosque for their own personal agendas. Musharraf should have been harsher on these people. Anyone who uses Islam to promote terrorism should be killed.

Unknown Feb 13, 2014 01:07pm

I really dont get the point. Being a Hindu, i will prefer being "true hindu or more hindu" & like wise Pakistanis should not have any problems following islam & being "true Muslim or more Islam" as per Sharia. TTP or whatever have got a point when they say that Pakistan was found as a place to practice true Islam. As per the many comments i read, people want Secular Pakistan & not Sharia Islam. Correct me if i'm wrong!!

Tarique Saiyed Feb 13, 2014 01:25pm

This man would have been behind bars in any civilized country, but then we are talking about Pakistan - the global contractors for Jihad

Faryal Feb 13, 2014 01:30pm

@ahmedj: Dear Brother ! Yes I didn't understand neither did Mr. Musharaf nor our media and so many other Pakistanis. How could you say that it should be a matter as simple as to be controlled by Islamabad Police. My memory is not at all week by the way. I could not forget the heavy armed retaliation from Lal Masjid when the same Islamabad police tried to vacate them by just warnings and tear gas. I could not forget how brutally they beat a policemen with Dandas, Latthees & stones. I could not forget that a high ranked Pak Army personal was martyred during a low profile operation. I could not forget the way Mr.Aziz escaped from the whole scene himself while his own brother and Mother were trapped in the masjid. I could not forget when all media appeals to Mr. Ghazi to stop retaliation and surrender and face the courts and he refused because of few militants around him who wanted an escape. I could not forget the people and media who were cursing Musharraf on showing leniency towards terrorists. I also could not forget the words of Musharraf " That if media stops advocating and exposing the whole drama, Pak army will conclude the drop scene with in few minutes" & finally I also could not forget the inside look of Lal masjid which has many safeguards underground sub ways and a complex structure as if it was built to be as a safe heaven for terrorists. By the way thanks for your comments else I would not get the chance to recall all such things for other readers. Reality Bites.

Hammad Feb 13, 2014 01:38pm

Musharraf made a mistake in letting this guy live.

when uneducated people with beards take the throne of religion on their own, when words written by men 236 years after the Prophet's (PBUH) death are placed with the word of Allah Almighty, when the Quran is made equal to the Hadith, when people follow anything in the name of Hadith blindly without considering it being contrary to Isamic jurisprudence prescribed in the Quran, then the clergy will be satan in the guise of bearded men of God and the followers will be terrorists. Muslims around the world talk about Quran and Sunnah without realising that the Muslim scholars over the past 1200 years have willfully neglected to strike out doubtful and incorrect hadith from the official texts due to which people are forced to believe things about the Prophet that are simply fabricated. One can listen to sermons given by these extremist elements and easily find out what is wrong and what is right. Extremists around the world have exploited these ahadith to blackmail young people into blowing themselves up for a place in heavens. Do you seriously beliieve that Allah will put terrorsts in heaven, they will blow the heavens also. The GOP and the army must strike a final blow to the TTP, exterminate them and also exterminate the madrassas where wrong religioius education is given and hatred is bred.

Jassi Feb 13, 2014 04:30pm

Ho Ho Ho - From the comments it seems that most Pakistanis would not want to be ruled by the Taliban. But at the same time they are all for these barbarians ruling Afghanistan.

skeptic Feb 13, 2014 04:58pm

I think he might be referring to himself and his close friends disguised as female bombers since they prefer to operate in a Burka

Farhan Ahmed Feb 13, 2014 05:37pm

@Leave from senses: You are 100 % right bro. And I must say what Musharraf did to him has been proved right.

Atta Feb 13, 2014 05:46pm

Islam is the religion of peace and such people are not muslims , can't even be categorized as humans...

salman siddiqui Feb 13, 2014 05:53pm

Dear Maulana Aziz,

A gentle reminder - As a muslim we are not afraid of 400 to 500 female suicide bombers in Waziristan and other tribal areas or even Men suicide bombers b/c one day we all gonna die , i hope you understand or believe what "ALL "means - you too , but one thing is sure you are confirming all what happened in the past with our brothers and sisters these fanatic Taliban's were involve -- We have listen what you said in different T.V. channels , believe me after watching your face expression and talk , i am completely convinced you are a publicity hungry sick man who knows nothing about Islam or teaching of Islam -- Very easy please read Quran with tafsir and targummah - thanks

Ahmad Feb 13, 2014 06:32pm

Wow....Maulana Sahab are you proud? Why don't you blow yourself up with your own group if you have the guts. Why are you insistent in everyone else changing? Do you think my blowing innocent people you will accomplish what you want to? To the government of Pakistan....why do you let these types of people walk freely? Do your job.....provide security to the people.....or if u can't because you are so incompetent, then step down and let others handle it.

Practising Muslim Feb 13, 2014 07:24pm

I vividly remember when salman tasir was killed by his own guard in the name of blasphemy and many people came out congratulating him, in person as well as on social media. Example should have been made there and then by hanging that terrorist in a public place. No religion preaches killing of any person and our own prophet (PBUH) set the examples through his teachings (killing one person is as if killing whole humanity, and saving one life is saving the whole..)..

Look where this mulla-brigade and that mindset of killing in the name of religion has taken us now..!!

pathanoo Feb 13, 2014 08:36pm

Mohammad Syed Husain Feb 13, 2014 09:01pm

Are we negotiating out of fear?

Raja Feb 13, 2014 09:05pm

"The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan has as many as 500 female suicide bombers ready to act, Maulana Abdul Aziz" and he is one of them.

An Indian91 Feb 13, 2014 10:22pm

@Mandar Joshi: @Asger As an Indian I would fight tooth & nail against ANY thought of an effort to merge Pakistan & India. The thought is completely intolerable to us.

I think both countries are completely incompatible. You should continue down your path in your own way as we continue in our direction.

We wish you luck.

Ali Feb 13, 2014 10:26pm

Now how can we accept a call for Sharia from those who themselves are not abiding by it? Suicide bombing by killing indiscriminately is against the Sharia.

Imran Ahmed Feb 13, 2014 10:35pm

This is naked blackmail with threat of terrorism if we do not obey this burqa weasel. A majority of our public backs negotiation with scum like this? The spineless cowards with no sense of self respect who want to "negotiate" with this vermin deserve everything they are going to get. We have a Prime Minister who recognises the folly of "talks" yet is unwilling to make hard and unpopular decisions like openly declaring war on these misbegotten villains, decisions that will have a major immediate cost in innocent lives but are ultimately the only solution. Do dither only increases the final toll.

Imran Ahmed Feb 13, 2014 10:38pm

@independentthinker: This burqa avenger made his escape while bravely leaving his wife and brother to die in his stead.

sja Feb 14, 2014 12:34am

@concerned: Whatever, the enlightened entertainment that Musharraf brought to Pakistan this Maulana is the product of his enlightenment unfortunately. The saying in Urdu seems to apply Badnaaam hongay to kya naaam na hoga or similar. The nation is suffering from their acts of incompetence and too much enlightenment and no more entertainment except for Musharraf to take cover in hospital and this maulana take cover under a burqua or his hujra.

Mustafa Feb 14, 2014 12:55am

Don't forget the corrupt media, domestic and foreign.

Moeed Feb 14, 2014 02:50am

This is the most evil man on the face of earth

Andy Feb 14, 2014 03:56am

@abbas: Jinnah used to Drink, smoke and wear western cloths. He even married a non-muslim and some people even say that we ate pork regularly when he was in England. He also believed in formal education with emphasis on science. Pakistan could have been like Malaysia or Turkey had they followed Jinnah's advice. He must be weeping in his grave.

home truff Feb 14, 2014 04:48am

@Ray: Well Said Ray

Ali Hassan Bhatti Feb 14, 2014 05:39am

Taliban's idea contradict with each other, they can use woman for suicide attacks but they do not allow women to have education.

Yemeen Zuberi Feb 14, 2014 07:03am

@Unknown:In fact Muslims were highly educated people and Pakistan was created so that Muslims can progress without majority's interference. The TTP thing is new and it was introduced since Russian invasion. As far as practicing Islam is concerned, the TTP is allowed to take part in elections with an agenda; however, Pakistanis have already voted against the parties with Islamic agenda. Almost all Pakistani Muslims are progressive in their attitude, just like their Hindu brother across the border, and they like democracy. They want to live with peace and harmony with their neighbors. TTP attitude is the gift of the major powers' fight in the area.

Nikki Feb 14, 2014 07:55am

@Unknown: Agreed

Nikki Feb 14, 2014 07:57am

@Sami: Yes, this man should be declared terrorists or treason.

Nikki Feb 14, 2014 08:01am

This man is making ' weapn of mass destruction' the international community must take take action and the government of Pakisan should locate his heaven where he is keeping 500 female. He is denying Islamic's true teaching and going with his own religion.

saima Feb 14, 2014 09:33am

I think the 500 suicide bombers are actually not women but they are 500 pseudo burkha clad Talibans like Maulana himself and they want to flee to the final destination, their favorite but they do not except it -------------- USA. Down with Maulana,,, Down with TTP

saima Feb 14, 2014 09:48am

@Unknown: Well we all want Sharia and want to be true muslims. The Sharia we want is the one that Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h taught us, and not the one which is practice in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. The TTP Sharia is brain child of their twisted interpretations which is nothing but brutality and there is no room for intolerance and torture in our religion Islam. I hope you will try to learn about the Prophet Muhammad's p.b.u h., Islam then you will understand why we hate and oppose TTP.

Amir Bangash Feb 14, 2014 11:31am

I don,t know why Maulana wants to frighten us once most are already afraid of lady wives. You see most of the people offering comments to this news send fake names as they fear exploding men and women.

Mustafa Feb 14, 2014 11:46am

No TTP does not have a point. A vast majority of Muslims want Islam and Sharia is the name it's legal aspects. There is little agreement among the Muslims about what true Sharia is. While Narinder Modi may want to cremate widows, I am sure a vast majority of Hindus don't agree with him.

Mustafa Feb 14, 2014 11:49am

Few Pakistanis see TTP as good. People around the world don't see us as bad anymore than they see you as bad people. It is just that our enemies are more vocal like Baniyas and zionists.

Syeda Ali Feb 14, 2014 12:54pm

@Faryal: V.Well said

Puzzled Feb 14, 2014 05:39pm

wow! great news, that definitely helps in talks!

Sohail Nawaz Feb 15, 2014 02:13am

Amazing! TTP seems to be equal opportunity provider for both genders :)

sheraz khan Feb 15, 2014 02:19am

Maulana sahib shame on you, this is nothing to be proud of, yes if your mother, daughter or sister are suicide bombers, then I think you are fighting for some cause otherwise you are just destroying other houses. I hope you will read my comments and give your thoughts. Thank you.

Some macabre interest keeps bringing you back to this forum. There are at least as many Indians on this forum as Pakistanis.

Mustafa Feb 15, 2014 03:27pm

@Dilip Thorat:

Fantasies like your's is what makes war. You are dreaming of a great Hindu Rashtra that never existed. Get rid of all those "history" books that Modi has sprung on you.
