Rain turns weather pleasant

RAWALPINDI, June 27: The twin cities on Friday received pre- monsoon shower which brought down the mercury level and turned the weather pleasant.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi received 30mm and 14mm rain, respectively. More showers are expected in the next 24 hours, Meteorological department officials said.

According to the Met office, different parts of the country, including upper Punjab and Kashmir received showers with Balakot receiving 54mm rain; Jehlum, 43mm; Murree, 8 mm; Chakwal and Muzzafarabad, 14mm each.
