KARACHI, June 27: The University of Karachi has notified that the MA (Previous) Annual Examinations 2002 of external students will start from June 28.
According to the KU notification, the MA Final Examinations will commence from June 30. The timings of both exams will be from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
The university has set up 14 examination centres at science and arts faculties for 5,591 male and 4,709 female candidates separately.
For the 3,606 male candidates of MA Previous and 1,985 male candidates of MA Final, seven examination centres have been set up at the science faculty.
As many as 3,002 females candidates of MA Previous and 1,707 female candidates of MA Final will appear at the centres being set up at the department of Geography.
The male candidates, who had submitted their examination and registration forms late, will appear at the examination centres being set up at the department of Microbiology and for such female candidates the centre will be at the department of Islamic Studies.
The announcement further said that all the candidates have been issued admit cards as well as the examination programme.
Meanwhile, the vice-chancellor of Karachi University has issued strict orders to check cheating and unfair means during exams.
BBA, MBA ADMISSIONS: The admission process for both evening and morning programmes of the Karachi University Business School for the session-2004 will start from September 22, 2003.
For MBA and BBA admissions, the forms will be available at the campus branch of UBL from September 8 to September 18, and from September 22 to October 4, respectively. During these dates for the respective programme, the candidates are advised to collect and submit the forms.
The admission test for MBA programme will be held on October 5, while the entry test for BBA Honours will be held on October 20.
The same admission test will be offered to all those candidates, who will apply on merit, reserved or donor’s seats. Classes will start from January 1, 2004.
FELLOWSHIP: The University of Karachi has invited applications from students enrolled in MPhil and PhD in the faculties of arts, science, pharmacy, Islamic studies, education, business administration and commerce for the award of university research fellowship.
MPhil students will be entitled to a stiped of Rs900pm and PhD students to a stipend of Rs1,200pm—APP/PPI
