LAHORE, June 25: An alleged proclaimed offender was killed and another injured in what police claimed an encounter in Manga Mandi here on Wednesday.
Police said they acting on a tip-off raided a house in Jhugian Jamna in the locality. But inmates of the house opened fire which was retaliated and a cross fire ensued for some 20 minutes. Both the POs, Nasrullah and Javed, were found lying injured when the police entered the house.
The police claimed that the injured were taken to a nearby hospital where Nasrullah died. The condition of other was stated to be critical.
