Four killed, 22 hurt in accident

SARGODHA, June 25: Four people were killed and 22 others injured in a head-on collision between a coaster and a truck near Khushab, some 35km from here, on Wednesday.

A Lahore-bound coaster when reached near Khushab collided with a truck coming from the opposite side. Truck driver Fazal, conductor Riaz Baloch, bus driver Irshad Husain and a passenger, Ghulam Mustafa, died on the spot, while 22 others sustained injuries.

The injured, including Maqbool, Ilyas, Mureed, Ehsan, Sakina, Iqbal, Sarfraz, Ejaz Awan, Shahzad, Saleem, Dost Mohammed, Aziz, Mumtaz, Maqbool Husain and Younas, were taken to hospital where the condition of Maqbool, Ilyas and Mureed was stated to be critical.
