KARACHI, June 25: The Trading Corporation of Pakistan has further disbursed Rs89.630 million to eight sugar mills being the cost of 5,604 tons sugar purchased by the corporation.

This payment is in addition to the amount of Rs1378.402 million the TCP had already paid to various sugar mills. With the release of this amount the state-owned corporation has now made payments of Rs1468.023 million for total quantity of 91,536 tons against the total contracted quantity of 100,000 tons.

The payment to the sugar mills for the balance purchased quantity of 8,464 tons will also be released to the sugar mills as soon as the sugar cargo is cleared by the inspection agencies of the TCP, says a press release.
