Rangers bulldoze into final

KARACHI, Dec 14: Blistering knocks by Javed Qadeer (72) and Khursheed Ahmed (53), bulldozed Rangers Gymkhana into the final of the Sixth Danish Ramazan cricket tournament after beating Mohammad Zamir Memorial CC by 42 runs on Friday at the KGA ground. Winning the toss and electing to bat, Rangers raced to 188 for six in their 20 allotted overs with Javed and Tariq in fine fettle with the willow. Off-spinner Adil Qureshi stuck to a good line and length and was rewarded with two for 26.

Chasing 189 runs for victory, Mohammad Zamir Memorial were bowled out for 146 runs in 16.5 overs with Rasheed Ali top scoring for his side with 30. Imran Khan contributed 24 runs.

Tariq Rasheed two for 14, Saeed two for 17 and Amjad Ali two for 29, were amongst the wickets for the winners.
