Shamim Baig promoted AVM

ISLAMABAD, June 23: Air Commodore Muhammad Shamim Baig has been promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal, says a press release issued by the PAF public relations directorate issued here on Monday,

Air Vice Marshal Baig was commissioned in engineering branch of Pakistan Air Force on January 27, 1974.

He has qualified Mirage Aircraft MTD course, surface-to-air missile familiarization course, PhD in computer science and software engineering workshop (SEW).

Previously, he has performed his duties as assistant chief of the Air staff (electronics) at Air headquarters.

He is the recipient of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
