HYDERABAD: SU budget

HYDERABAD, June 23: The Sindh University syndicate on Saturday approved revised budget for 2002-2003 with a surplus of Rs1.83 million and estimated budget for 2003-2004 with a deficit of Rs145.757 million.

According to revised budget of 2002-2003, income including government grant is estimated at Rs543.381 million whereas expenses at Rs.541.544 million.

The budget for the year 2003-2004 envisage an income of Rs468.492 million and expenses of Rs614.249 million thus a deficit of Rs145.757 million. The deficit will be met by requesting the Higher Education Commission for additional grants and keeping a check on expenditure under other heads excepting the staff salaries.—Bureau
