KURRAM AGENCY: At least three people were injured Tuesday when an explosion occurred in the Kurram tribal region, DawnNews reported.

The explosion took place in a vegetable market in lower Kurram's Sada bazaar area. Subsequently, three people sustained injuries. The nature of the explosion has not yet been ascertained.

Following the explosion, local people reached the scene and started relief work.

The casualties were immediately shifted to a local hospital and the condition of one of the wounded persons was reported as critical.

Police and security forces’ personnel cordoned off the area and a search operation went underway to apprehend those responsible.

Earlier on Nov 25, at least three people, including two students, were killed and one other was injured in two separate explosions that took place in the tribal region.

Kurram, which is close to the Pak-Afghan border, is one of the seven regions in Fata, governed by tribal laws.
