QUETTA, June 22: The provincial assembly which meets here on Monday will discuss a privilege motion moved by deputy speaker of the assembly on Saturday to discuss alleged rude behaviour of the Additional Chief Secretary (Development) of Balochistan.

Mir Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, Deputy Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly, has pleaded that on Friday after finance minister’s budget speech, he asked the Additional Chief Secretary that development schemes of his area, despite directives of the Chief Minister Secretariat, were not included in the PSDP 2003-04 as he had promised the electorate during the election campaign.

ACS Nadir Ali reportedly said: “Why did you make wrong promises with your people.” When the ACS was reminded MPAs had obtained votes after promises that schemes would be launched in their areas, the senior government reported retorted: “I had not voted for you.”
