HYDERABAD, June 21: Mobile cinema system of the agriculture information wing of Sindh agriculture department has completed second round of exhibition of films on agriculture-related topics to farmers in the districts of Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Nausha-hro Feroze, Dadu, Larkana, Shikarpur and Sukkur.

A spokesman for the wing, in a statement issued here on Saturday, said that at present two mobile units were showing films on cotton production technology, rational use of pesticides and integrated pest management, contamination-free cotton and efficient use of water in several villages of the Hyderabad and Ghotki districts.

In the last leg of the programmes, he said, the mobile unit would show the films to farmers of Badin and Khairpur districts from June 23 to 28.

He said that local agriculture extension officers accompanied the mobile units to provide information to farmers.

SLA: The Sindhi Language Authority announced here on Saturday that it had launched a website for the introduction of the efforts undertaken by it for the promotion of Sindhi language.

A spokesman for the authority said that the website had been uploaded on experimental basis in English and Sindhi languages.
