PPP rejects Soomro's resignation linked to Bilawal

KARACHI: As reports came in that chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was set to make his maiden appearance in the parliament after PPP MNA Ayaz Soomro tendered his resignation from Larkana's NA -204, Senator Farhatullah Babar denied that any such development was on the cards.

Bilawal became eligible to contest elections after turning 25 on September 21 this year and was also scheduled to take reigns of the party by the end of this year.

PPP leader Ayaz Soomro submitted his resignation to the party's leadership in Sindh and vacated his NA-204 seat earlier on Thursday.

Reports said Soomro's resignation paved way for the son of late premier Benazir Bhutto, and former president Asif Ali Zardari to finally make an entrance in the legislatures. However, later party sources said Soomro's resignation had no relation with any plans for Bilawal's foray in the National Assembly.

Media outlets also reported that Ayaz Soomro may now be made an advisor on law to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

When will this country be rid of the scourge of dynastic politics ? This is not democracy but something akin to a monarchy, with the monarch changing faces every few years but it all remains within the same couple of families.

If he decides to enter active Politics that would be the end of the Party what ever is left. of it. Combination of Bhutto and Zardari cocktail would be a fatal blow to the party. He does not need any adversaries to finish the party. The kid is clueless about the problems country is facing. He can purchase all the votes with the dirty money ,his parents have accumulated over the years. Feudal system is still alive and well in his province. His brain child Sind Festival is a another waste of time and money. How people of Sind can celebrate when they don't even have the basic necessities like clean drinking water. His solution to the problem is to sing and dance for coup of days. What a Genius solution for a kid raised in the West

This guy is just a joke. Even though he is supposedly a western educated person but the way he talks and delivers his speeches are just senseless and reflect the mostly uneducated ways of our political masses. We need .leaders with brains and not someone who is yelling and pulling his hair while addressing others. What a shame to the Bhuttos.

Pakistan's debt jumped from 35 Billion Dollars to 65 Billion Dollars during PPP govt. 7 Billion has been approved for this Govt too within first year. So by next elections probably nobody will be willing to give us any loan and here comes new leader with empty pockets hoping we will be generous again.
