KARACHI, June 21: Sindh minister for local government and special development, Muhammad Hussain, has said that the government has been striving to provide better facilities of water, electricity, gas, medication, education, parks and roads to the masses.

He expressed these views during a visit to different areas of Korangi. The TMOs of Landhi and Korangi, officers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board and KESC and a large number of area residents were also present on the occasion.

People apprised the minister about the water scarcity, deteriorated sewerage system and condition of parks and roads.

The minister directed the officers concerned to take steps for solving problems of the local residents to ensure clean and better environment in Korangi.

For this, he directed the Assistant Town Officer to plant Eucalyptus in parks and along roads to eliminate environmental pollution.

The minister said that more attention was needed for the improvement of parks in the town.—PPI
