LAHORE: Turk Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan is reaching the provincial metropolis on a two-day visit early on Monday morning.

Although a floor of a local five-star hotel has been booked for him and his delegation and security arrangements have been made accordingly, he is most likely to stay at Raiwind residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

An official source said that security is being further tightened around Raiwind in this respect as prime minister’s son Husain Nawaz is looking after other preparations for ensuring a comfortable stay for the Turkish guest.

Mr Erdogan is scheduled to attend a business conference in the morning, grace another function in Aitchison College before joining contract signing ceremony between Punjab and Turkey.

He will also be visiting the Badshahi Mosque, while Mrs Emine Erdogan, the first lady, will visit the Lahore Museum.
