NAWABSHAH, June 20: The growers of Jamal Shah minor and their children staged a demonstration in Qazi Ahmed town on Friday against the shortage of water.

The demonstrators were carrying banners and their children raising slogans for water.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Pir Shah said there was no water in 12 water channels of the Jamal Shah minor.

He said growers at the tail-end were in trouble as their land were rendering barren. They demanded water to save them from starvation.
