Balochistan budget today

QUETTA, June 19: Balochistan Finance Minister Syed Ehsan Shah would present the provincial budget for financial year 2003-04 in the provincial assembly, on Friday afternoon.

It would be a deficit budget and the government has decided not to impose any new tax in the budget.

The size of the budget is expected to be around Rs34 billion, which include a PSDP of Rs9 billion. The Balochistan government would also increase salaries and pension by 15 per cent of all provincial government employees for which Rs2 billion would be allocated in the budget.
