PESHAWAR, June 19: Customs intelligence officials recovered 868kg of hashish from a consignment of 217 washing machines booked for Jeddah via Karachi, and arrested four people, officials said on Thursday.
“The hashish was cleverly concealed in secret cavities of the washing machines,” customs officer Jehanzeb Mahmood told reporters. The haul was made as officials checked the container at Peshawar’s dry port late Wednesday.
