Court lacks judge

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 18: About 600 cases are pending in the Naushahro Feroze court as the post of senior civil Judge is lying vacant since last 20 months.

The people of the area demanded a permanent appointment of the senior judge to clear the backlog.

STRIKE: The shopkeepers of Padidan town observed a shutter down strike for three hours and staged a demonstration on the man road on Tuesday against a dacoity bid.

Four dacoits entered a sweet shop of Muneer Ahmed and tried to loot cash but he raised alarm as a result of which the dacoits fled.

The shopkeepers and citizens also burnt tyres on the road.

They condemned rising crime incidents in the city and the police failure to control it.
