KARACHI, Dec 14: The KWSB’s managing director has asked all executive engineers to immediately prominently display water supply schedule on the outer walls of all pumping stations.

Through a circular issued to all executive engineers concerned, the KWSB MD, Brig Bahram Khan, has instructed them to get the walls of all pumping stations plastered for putting up proper notice boards.

The proposed notice boards should contain all relevant information such as timings of pump operation, name of pumping station, number of pumps installed, number of pumps in working order and number of pumps out of order with date and reason, names of pump operator, valveman and name and phone number of officer concerned for receiving complaints against staff from consumers, he said.

He said that the move was aimed at keeping the public and their elected representatives informed about the timings of pump operation and schedule of their supply.

The MD also instructed the chief engineer (electrical and mechanical) to ensure that such notice boards were of standard size and plastered on the wall of every pumping station.
