PARIS, June 17: Dalil Boubakeur, who heads France’s new organisation for Muslims, the CFCM, withdrew his resignation on the request of French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, on Tuesday.
He had resigned after two months as president, saying that the could no longer tolerate the CFCM being increasingly controlled by two other Muslim movements.
