PPP’s reception

LAHORE, June 16: The PPP held a reception on Monday to praise party workers arrested recently for protesting outside the Punjab Assembly, and released subsequently.

Leaders who spoke at the reception also declared that the party would not change its stand on the LFO and would step up efforts for the return home of Ms Benazir Bhutto.

Sajida Mir, Mian Ayub and Ms Faiza were among many for whom the function had been organized.

Qasim Zia, Altaf Qureshi, Naveed Chaudhry, Senator Sajjad Bukhari and Mian Misbahur Rehman were among the speakers.

There was exchange of hot words between some of the participants.
