KARACHI: Fishermen demo

KARACHI, June 16: Scores of fishermen along with their families staged a protest demonstration against deep sea fishing at Chishma Goth near Korangi Fish Horbour on Monday.

They claimed that deep sea trawlers were playing havoc with marine life and causing severe economic hardships for local fishermen.

The protestors, holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against deep sea trawlers.

Chairman Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum Muhammad Ali Shah addressed the protesters. — PPI
