Pak PWD clinch men’s title

KARACHI, June 14: Pak PWD lifted the men’s team event of Third Mirza Almas Ali Baig Master’s Cup table tennis tournament defeating Habib Bank Limited 3-0 here at Islamia Club on Friday night.

Khalid from PWD overwhelmed HBL’s Asim Aziz in the first match. Later Nadir Sohail and Zulfiqar Ahmed overcame their respective rivals to ensure team’s victory.

M.Khalid (PWD) bt Asim Aziz (HBL) 6-11, 11-4, 12-10, 6-11, 11-7; Nadir Sohail (PWD) bt Yasir Iqbal (HBL) 7-11, 11-6, 5-11, 11-5, Zulfiqar Ahmed bt Ahmed Hussain (HBL) 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8.
