LAHORE, June 11: Reacting to the Lahore High Court’s judgment on President Gen Musharraf’s military uniform, the Lahore High Court Bar Association on Wednesday announced that it would have this judgment included in the white paper to be published by the Joint Action Committee on June 28.

The white paper would comprise all the judgments passed by the superior judiciary over the last three and a half years to validate the actions of military government. The judicial appointments made during this period and the three-year extension of the tenures of superior courts’ judges have also been criticized in the paper.

LHCBA president Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari further announced that copies of this judgment would be burnt along with those of the LFO on bar premises on June 13 as a symbolic protest against the court pronouncement that Gen Musharraf’s decision to take off the uniform on the date of his own choice was not extra-constitutional.

He said that lawyers would continue their struggle against the LFO despite such judgments.
