JHANG, Oct 2: Twelve people were injured, four of them seriously, in a gas cylinder explosion near the Station Chowk on Tuesday.

According to details, cylinders were being unloaded from a truck in front of a gas dealer’s shop adjacent to the wagon stand near the Station Chowk when a cylinder exploded. Twelve people were injured as nearby shops and two wagons parked in the stand caught fire. The gas dealer’s shop, a motorcycle and a bicycle were also burnt.

Arif, Ilyas, Ziaur Rahman, Irshad, Ahmad Ali, Sultan, Khan Muhammad, Fayyaz, Mushtaq, Khalil Ahmad, Saleem and Arshad were taken to the Jhang DHQ Hospital. Later, Ziaur Rahman, Khalil, Sultan and Mushtaq were shifted to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital because of their critical condition.
