PESHAWAR: The workers of ruling parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gathered at Hayatabad’s Toll Plaza area in Peshawar Friday to participate in a sit-in against Nato supplies that entered its seventh day, DawnNews reported.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan had declared that his party had decided to stop Nato trucks to and from Afghanistan through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa till a complete halt to the US drone attacks in the tribal areas and the province.

PTI activists are scouring vehicles en route to Afghanistan. Moreover, one vehicle was reportedly returned on the basis of suspicion.

PTI member of the provincial assembly Mahmood Jan, who was also participating in the sit-in, said ordinary containers had two seals whereas the returned container had six seals.

Jan furthermore said that today’s sit-in would also be attended by tribal leaders.

School children also partook in today's sit-in and registered their protests against US drone strikes.

Separately, PTI's Azam Swati, who took part in the sit-in, warned that at no cost would Nato supplies be allowed to pass via KP.
