Goldsmith looted

HARIPUR, June 8: Bandits on Sunday deprived a goldsmith’s family of jewellry, cash, including foreign exchange, and other valuables in Malikpura area.

Family members of Haji Mushtaq Hussain, an office-bearer of Sarafa Association, Haripur, who had gathered there to greet one of the family members, who had returned from Saudi Arabia.

Bandits looted the goldsmith after locking the entire family in a room, staying in the house for half an hour.

They decamped with around 500 grames of gold ornaments, 2,000 Saudi riyals and Rs10,000 in cash, and other valuables which Haji Mushtaq’s sister had brought from Saudi Arabia.
