SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 6: A woman was shot dead by her husband over an issue of giving birth to six daughters in Nawankot, some 30kms from here, on Wednesday.
Reports said that accused Amir, who has a son as well, was annoyed with his wife for giving birth to six daughters. After exchange of hot words over the issue on Wednesday, Amir got infuriated and shot his wife to death.
Police said the accused had already drowned his 10-day-old daughter in a bucket which his wife did not report to police for fear of her husband.
Police have arrested the accused who confessed to his crime.
