Zeeshan fails to save Zone-III

KARACHI, June 6: Off-spinner Zeeshan Kirmani captured six wickets for 96 runs but failed to save Zone-III Blues from massive 202 runs defeat against Zone-I Whites in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 tournament at Student Ground on Thursday.

Batting first Zone-I Whites amassed a mammoth 274 all out in 49.5 overs. Owais Karimi topscored with 51 with five boundaries. Aiman Arif slammed 47 with four boundaries and Ahmed Iqbal made 42 that contained four fours were the other major contributors.

At Asifabad Sports Ground medium pacer Jawwad Khan took five wickets for 21 runs to bowl Zone-IV Whites to nine wicket victory over Zone-VII Blues in low scoring match.
