HPS and Railways in final

KARACHI, June 6: Railway School Karachi Cantt and Habib Public School (HPS) set-up a title clash in the 4th Tanveer Dar Inter-school hockey tournament after winning their semifinals on Friday.

Muhammad Riaz slammed a hat trick in Railway’s 7-1 win over Shah Abdul Latif Steel Township.

Riaz struck in 4th, 10th and 17th miniutes. Right-in Farhan Raza scored twice and Muhammad Ali and left-in Yasir scored the other goals. Centre-forward Muhammad Zubair scored the consoation goal for losers.

In the other semifinal HPS beat Public School Sir Syed Town 3-1. Winners led 2-0 at half time. Zaheer Ahmed (2) and Asfand Ali scored the goals.

The final will be played Saturday at 4.30 p.m.—APP
