ISLAMABAD, June 5: PAF’s Farhan Mahboob and Yasir Butt scored victories on Thursday in the first qualifying round of the President PSF Squash Championship in Abbottabad.

Farhan needed 32 minutes in beating Punjab’s Basit Ashfaq 15- 7, 15-11, 15-11 while Yasir defeated Haider Jamal 15-4, 15-2, 15- 8 in exactly half an hour.

The last qualifying round will be held on Friday.

Waseem Shad (PAF) bt Bilal Zaman (PAF) 15-13, 15-5, 15-14.

Wakeel Khan (NWFP) bt Aamir Atlas (PAF) 15-9 15-11, 15-8.

Khalid Atlas (PAF) bt Majeed Hussain (PAF) 15-3, 15-17, 12-15, 15-7, 15-8.

Farhan Mahboob (PAF) bt Basit Ashfaq (Punjab) 15-7, 15-11, 15-11.

Yasir Butt (Punjab) bt Haider Jamal (Punjab) 15-14, 15-2, 15-8.

Shahnawaz (Punjab) bt Zahir Shah (PAF) 11-15, 15-5, 15-7, 11-15, 15-4.

Adil Atlas (PAF) bt Faisal Zaman (PAF) 15-10, 12-15, 15-6, 15-9.

Azam Khan bt Shehroze Khan 3-15, 15-9, 15-13, 15-10.
