KARACHI, June 5: Higher Education Commission Chairman Prof Dr Attaur Rehman said the Model University Ordinance would be implemented after comprehensive discussion with the teaching community.

This he said while talking to the office-bearers of the All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Associations (FAPUASA), who met with him here.

A statement by the association said that it was sceptic regarding certain sections of the Ordinance, while opposing the implementation of the same in its present form.

Dr Atta assured that the Ordinance will only be implemented after holding discussions.—APP
