27 inspectors promoted

LAHORE, Oct 2: The Punjab government promoted 27 inspectors, including nine policewomen, to the rank of DSP on Tuesday.

Officials said that the promotion was recommended by the departmental promotion committee, headed by the Punjab Home Secretary some days ago.

The promoted officers would be adjusted in the new police set up likely to start functioning sometime this month. They are

Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Naseem, Aftab Ahmad, Ameer Abdullah, Anwaar Ali, Nazeer Dogar, Abdul Aziz, Ejaz Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf, Ahmad Nawaz, Gul Hameed, Rahmat Ali, Akhtar Aziz, Mukhtar Ahmad, Iftikhar Goga, Zahid Hussain, Parvez Iqbal, Hamid Mahmood, Khalida Khurshid, Naseem Akhtar, Muqaddas, Kishwar, Mariam Naheed, Nusrat Mehdi, Tanveer Fatima, Rukhsana Khurshid and Ameer Taimor.
