SHIKARPUR, June 3: A large number of Buriro clansmen blocked the Shikarpur-Kandhkot road near the Sheedi Wah link road to protest against an incident of firing in which several people were injured on Monday.

The highwaymen had tried to stop a wagon carrying passengers from Sukkur to Thul but the driver accelerated the speed.

On this they started firing injuring several passengers, including Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Buriro.

After the incident, the Buriro tribesmen blocked the road for one hour. The road was opened for vehicular traffic after an assurance by the TPO Khanpur that the culprits.

Man killed: A revenue employee, Allah Dino Mangi, was killed when a wagon (U-0002), coming from Sukkur to Shikarpur, hit him outside the DCO office on the National Highway here on Monday.
