Dawn staffer grieved

LAHORE, June 2: Sheikh Mohammad Hanif, former in-charge salaries at the Progressive Papers Limited (The Pakistan Times), passed away here on Monday after a protracted illness. He was 78.

He was laid to rest in the Miani Sahib graveyard later in the night. He was father of daily Awaz’s chief reporter Aftab Hanif Sheikh, Dawn’s senior reporter Intikhab Hanif Sheikh, and Asif Hanif Sheikh.

Qul will be held on Tuesday (today) after the Asr prayers at Masjid Pattolian inside Lohari Gate.
