PESHAWAR, Oct 11: Following the directive of the NWFP governor regarding the establishment of Model Auqaf Schools in various districts of the province, the government has decided to start construction of such a double-storey-building school in Charsadda district soon.

A meeting in this respect was held at Peshawar on Thursday presided over by the NWFP minister for Auqaf and Social Welfare Qari Roohullah wherein different aspects of the plan were discussed.

Muhammad Zaman Sadozai, Administrator Auqaf Noorul Haq and Project Director Roz Muhammad attended the meeting. It was decided that proper steps would be taken to establish model schools according to the requirements of the local population provided Auqaf land was available there.

However, developed areas like Hayatabad and other towns in various big cities, help of the concerned departments or organizations would be sought to acquire land for model schools.

It was also decided that religious and scientific education would also be provided to run these schools on commercial basis.—APP
