Iran defeat Italy in final

ISLAMABAD, June 1: Iran on Sunday won the Inter-Embassy Football Tournament beating Italy 5-2 in the final.

The tournament was organised by the World Commission on Human Rights (WCHR) and had 10 teams competing for honours.

Oman of Iran was adjudged the Best Player while Thailand’s Saleh took the Top Goalkeeper award.

Besides the finalists, other teams that took part in the event that began on May 29 were United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Japan, Indonesia, UAE, Netherlands, Thailand and Kazakhstan.
