Polished knock by Zafar

KARACHI, June 1: A polished knock of 94 runs by Mohammad Zafar enabled Mohammad Hussain CC register an easy 66-run victory over the KGA Gymkhana in the Top Ten Invitation cricket tournament played at the KGA ground on Saturday.

Batting first Mohammad Hussain CC reached 214 for eight wickets in 35 overs. Apart from Zafar’s entertaining knock of 94 runs, Agha Sabir chipped in with 47 and Mohammad Rizwan 32.

Imran Bashir three for 54 and Mario Rodrigues three for 46 were among the wickets for the fielding side. Chasing 215 runs for victory, the home team were skittled out for 148 runs in 30.4 overs. Sham Ramesh top scored with 50 and Victor Sebastian had 22 runs to his credit.

Spinners Aqeel Sharif three for 24 and Mohammad Ali Madi three for 15, bowled their side to victory.
