Tariq spins DHA into final

KARACHI, May 30: Left arm spinner Tariq Hussain grabbed four wickets for 25 to spin Defence Housing Authority (DHA) into the final of 12th Hinopak Trophy KCCA Inter-firms cricket tournament with a thrilling 20 runs win over City District Government Karachi (CDGK) at UBL Sports Complex on Thursday.

A fine 55 by former Pakistan under-19 opener Saqib Zia with six boundaries helped DHA to score 176. Mansoor Ahmed finished unbeaten on 30.

Off-spinner Sarwat Ali caused the main damage in DHA batting with four wickets for 36 runs but failed to save his team from defeat. Muneeruddin claimed three for 52.

CDGK in response crashed to 156 in 45th over. Nazim Wahab hit a defiant 55 with five fours.
