CASABLANCA, May 28: The suspected mastermind of this month’s devastating suicide blasts in Casablanca has died of heart and liver problems while in detention, the city’s prosecutor said on Wednesday.
A total of 43 people including 12 suicide bombers were killed in the May 16 attacks in Morocco’s largest city.
Authorities have traced the attacks to Moroccan radical groups and implicated an “international terrorist network” without directly naming Al Qaeda.—AFP
