BADIN, May 27: A large number of workers of the Fouji Sugar Mills, Badin, held a protest demonstration here on Tuesday against ban on the CBA union imposed by the mill management.

The protesters, carrying banners and placards, accused the mill management of adopting an anti-labour policy and depriving the workers of their genuine rights.

Taluka Nazim Dr Musarrat Hussain Khwaja and union council Nazim Abdul Karim Channa also joined the workers, who were led by Mohammad Iqbal and Abdul Salam.

STRIKE: Clerks of district government departments observed a pen-down strike here on Tuesday against the chairman of the District Public Safety Commission (DPSC).

They criticized DPSC chairman Abdul Aziz for using abusive language with a clerk, Ghulam Qadir, of the DCO office. They demanded that the DPSC chairman should seek excuse from Mr Qadir.
