KARACHI, Aug 24: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila has inaugurated what is being described as the city’s first interactive science gallery and announced Rs500,000 donation for the Foundation for Diffusion Of Scientific Knowledge (FDSK).

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony held at the Maritime Museum on Friday, he said the first word of the Holy Quran is iqra, which means read. He said the country could attain progress and prosperity if people studied more about science.

Suparco chairman retired major-general Bilal Ahmed, FDSK chairman Dr Atta-ur-Rehman also spoke.—PPI
