Pakistan team to be named today

LAHORE, May 26: Pakistan squad for June 5-23 tour of England will be announced on Tuesday, according to chairman of selectors Aamir Sohail.

Pakistan are scheduled to play three One-day Internationals against England.

Meanwhile, the chief selector called discarded batsmen Naved Latif, Misbah-ul-Haq and Imran Nazir along with pacers Junaid Zia and Najaf Shah and tried them in the nets at Gaddafi Stadium on Monday before considering them for selection.

Aamir said that all five players in addition to Inzamam-ul-Haq and Azhar Mahmood will be under consideration for the short trip to England.

The national selection committee would meet on Tuesday  morning and after getting approval from the PCB chairman Lt Gen Tauqir Zia, the squad would be announced.
